About & Contact

May your life be filled with the peace and blessings of God.  This is my heartfelt prayer for everyone I meet, and that includes those who visit this blog.

My name is Samra Hussain.  I’m a Pakistani-Canadian Muslim woman.  I’m also a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and many other identities all at once.  But I most comfortably identify with being human. My main goal for creating this blog, is to make friends and connect with God-loving people, regardless of their faith tradition.  For quite some time now, I have been feeling this intense yearning to break out from the little bubble I’ve built around myself, and find meaning in friendship with those different from me and my usual circle of friends and acquaintances.  Don’t get me wrong; I love my friends and family, and I love being part of the Muslim community, but I feel like being ONLY a part of this group keeps me from the richness of experiences that exist outside my comfort zone.

When we get stuck inside one type of social/faith group, then we confine ourselves to interpreting life the same way over and over again, and that gets boring after a while.  So I thought if I feel this way, then there must be others who respect God enough to build bridges and friendship with others.

I feel a special connection with my Jewish and Christian brothers and sisters, since in essence we all follow our great father Abraham (peace be upon him).  In the end, basically all major faith traditions have the same foundation: Acknowledge your Creator, His oneness/uniqueness, and do good on earth to please Him.

Since I’m looking for friendship, it naturally makes sense when I say I’d love to hear from you!  You can contact me on my Facebook page:

It would be lovely if you could give the blog a “like” on Facebook 🙂

  1. Salaam sister, thank you so much for praying at the shia mosque, I wish more of my sunni brothers and sisters can do the same. The love for allah, our prophet and his family is critical for understanding islam and the direction we as muslims need to take for unity and salvation. God bless you and your family and the great values you are teaching your children! !

  2. Thank You for your effort in trying to understand different sects and religions. Can I just please request you to please go and pray at an Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Mosque too and try to find out things for yourself rather than believing in the false propaganda done all around. Just go unannounced, and if u r a genuine seeker of truth u will be enlightened. http://www.ahmadiyya.ca/contact.php. God be with you 🙂

  3. Asalamalaikum,
